On Whitemarsh Island, this private residence brings fine Southern interior design to a home built from purchased plans, dialing up the architecture with careful craftsmanship and natural-toned material. SHAH worked carefully to push and pull the space, threading modern Southern millwork, layered textures, and chosen finishes through the home until it landed in true Southern comfort. Completed in summer 2015, the home reads as both unmistakably current and deeply rooted in the easy charm of the Lowcountry. It's a house that became itself in the editing.
